Bruce Legorburu

Bruce is responsible for the worldwide oversight of the legal affairs of Fitch Group and its subsidiaries and affiliates. Bruce has been with Fitch since 2013, serving most recently as Chief Compliance Officer for Fitch Ratings. Prior to becoming CCO in 2019, Bruce was the Senior Legal Counsel for Fitch Ratings in APAC, working in our Sydney and Singapore offices, then also (from 2017) Senior Legal Counsel for EMEA & APAC.

Between 2003 and 2007, Bruce also worked as European Counsel for Fitch Ratings based in London supporting various business units in the EMEA region and acting as Regional Compliance Officer for EMEA & Asia Pacific. During his career outside of Fitch, Bruce worked in private practice as a corporate, commercial & technology lawyer for international law firms in the United Kingdom and Australia.

Bruce earned a BA from the University of Toronto, a LL.B from the University of Edinburgh and a LL.M from University College London.
